Open Positions
Graduate Student Positions
We are anticipating bringing on a PhD student in Summer/Fall 2024 on projects related to ecosystem responses to adaptive silviculture treatments in pinyon-juniper woodlands and patterns of tree seed production. Details on the graduate program and how to apply to the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management at UC Berkeley can be found here: Graduate Programs | Our Environment at Berkeley
If you're interested in joining our team for the project focused on ecosystem responses to adaptive silviculture treatments in pinyon-juniper woodlands, check out our flyer here for more details: redmond_lab_phd_position_summerfall_2024.pdf
Applications for UC Berkeley’s ESPM PhD Program must be submitted by 8:59 PM on December 4, 2023, and the details can be found here: https://ourenvironment.berkeley.edu/graduate-programs/admissions. Interested students have the option to apply directly to the PhD program and then listing Miranda Redmond (in the Ecosystem Science division) as their proposed faculty sponsor.
If you would like to first gauge whether we feel the Redmond lab would be a good fit, then you can fill out the following survey (https://forms.gle/6mGttqQN9umUbKdg6) by Nov. 15th and we will then follow-up with prospective students by Nov. 27th. To do so, please fill out this online survey, where you will be asked provide background information (e.g., undergraduate degree, institution, and GPA), and upload copies of your CV and a 1-page cover letter summarizing your background and interests. Promising candidates will be contacted via email for further discussion of the opportunity and asked to submit a full application package to the ESPM PhD Program (https://ourenvironment.berkeley.edu/graduate-programs/admissions). If you have questions about the survey or position, please reach out to Miranda Redmond ([email protected]).
Research Technician Positions
We currently don't have research technician openings, but summer field positions will be posted in early February. Please check back in closer to this date and reach out with any questions.
Postdoc Positions
We currently don't have any funded postdoc positions, but please reach out if you are interested in collaboratively developing a proposal for a research grant or fellowship.
